Nike is ready to open its doors to its new NYC flagship on Thursday, November 15th, offering the first customers a chance at the new “Noise Cancelling” Collection that honors five epic athletes who silenced the city through various performances. It all begins with the Nike Zoom Fly 2, which represents long-distance runner Shalane Flanagan and her triumph at the Women’s NYC marathon in 2017. The Air Jordan 1 High is connected to Nigel Sylvester, who burst into the mainstream with a daring image of himself across the tracks at the busy 145th St. subway station. The Air Force 1 Low represents Odell Beckham Jr., with “the catch” that needs no explanation. The Cortez honors Maria Sharapova, who at the age of 19 won her second Grand Slam at the US Open in Flushing Meadows. Finally, the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro represents the Black Mamba, who hushed the MSG crowd by dropping 61 in 2009. This entire pack will be exclusively available at the Nike House Of Innovation in NYC; all five can be fully customized via dip-dye or by decorating the silhouettes with a variety of Swoosh options, lace dubrae, and other details. See the full set below and note the release dates as all five will release in a staggered schedule.
