With Complex Con fast approaching this weekend, it is just about time that the world’s top sneaker brands begin revealing their plans for one of the most important weekends in the entire industry. adidas has intentions to completely change the way consumers shop, providing a mixed reality shopping experience to give fans a shot at securing exclusive product during the two-day program. This augmented reality platform will remove physical cues as well as wait times while simultaneously promising the most fluid point-of-purchase to date.
“The way in which we designed our shopping experience tackles consumer insights that go beyond just buying sneakers,” Chris Murphy, Senior Director of Digital Activation for adidas North America said. “Making product available to everyone from their smartphone without queues and hassles reconciles the enthusiasm the real end users bring to the show.”
Limited size runs of the brand new Pusha T EQT x Cushion 2, the PW Hu POD System, and the newest N*E*R*D NMD Hu will make their debut as well as collectors being given the shot to buy the heralded adidas Dragon Ball Z collection in its entirety. A special collaboration with Snoop Dogg will also be revealed in honor of the 25th anniversary of his iconic Doggystyle album. Those attending Complex Con with intentions of trying out the Trefoil Brand’s augmented reality app must download the ComplexCon App to receive notifications and updates throughout the weekend.
