On May 10th, 2017, Jordan Brand inked a deal with Chinese National basketball sensation, Guo Ailun. Serving as the first professional athlete from Asia to sign with the Jordan Brand, the guard was slated to begin receiving special edition player exclusive models of Jumpman-branded sneakers with his own personal signature. MJ was a pioneer in the globalization of the game of basketball, popularizing it around the world with international trips during the off season, but the signing of Guo was the brand’s first proverbial toe dipped into international waters. Now, their partnership is on pace to be taken to the next level, by way of a “Guo Ailun” PE version of the brand new Air Jordan 33. Set to release exclusively in China, this Jade-colored variety of the FastFit-equipped performance marvel calls upon quick hits of red for refreshing color as well as a set of Chinese characters on the underside of its tongue loops. At only 24 years old and rising to the top of the ranks of China’s professional hoopers, Ailun has the potential to make significant international waves in the NBA, and will do so with a Jumpman on his feet. No word regarding the China-exclusive release of this Jordan 33 has been reported just yet, but enjoy a detailed set of images below and keep it locked for updates.
