The Nike Air Max Plus “Hot Lava” Is Coming Soon

It’s been a busy last few weeks in the world of Air Max. The uber-futuristic Air Max 720 was unveiled, Sean Wotherspoon announced that he’d be working with the Swoosh again for a second version of his Air Max 1/97, and the Air Max Deluxe has surfaced in an assortment of clean new tonal colorways. The classic Air Max Plus has no plans on being left out of all the goings-on either, as it’s surfaced in a bold new “Hot Lava” colorway. The shoe’s loud upper boasts an interwoven black and red mesh, while an ombré-style plastic cage that fades from red to white adds further to the striking detailing. A black nubuck mudguard and plastic toe cap provide a touch of simplicity to the otherwise-maximalist upper, and the shoe is then completed by a white midsole, two-tone midfoot shank, and red Air Max cushioning units. An official release date has not yet been announced, but you can expect these powerful Pluses to arrive on Nike.com later this Fall for $160 USD.
