In January of this year, the world was introduced to Russell Westbrook’s first ever signature shoe – the Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 – dressed in a “Mirror Image” colorway that featured a head-turning collage on its upper with elements pulled from both his and Jordan Brand’s history. Now, the Jumpman is set to debut another basketball silhouette, the Jordan Hustle, with a similarly designed abstract composition. While that Why Not Zer0.1 equipped images of Brodie and famous graphics from the brand’s storied past, the new Hustle opts for phrases that highlight the basketball-engineered nature of the sneaker. Fans can read, “Death Defying”, “Slam”, “360”, and more throughout its upper, giving consumers a preview of what they will be able to do if they lace this new creation up on the court. A booty-like entrance system combines with a zip-up shroud for lock down, while a herringbone-style traction system gives hoopers ultimate control in-game. With the demand for better and more comfortable performance footwear at an all time high, you can expect premier brands the likes of the Jumpman to continue innovating their product line to meet these demands. While no Jordan Hustle release date currently exists, pairs of the Jumpman’s newest basketball shoe will arrive on Nike.com sometime this Fall with a retail price in the $125 USD ballpark.
