The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Rookie Of The Year” Will Release Early At atmoscon

Although the highly anticipated Air Jordan 1 “Rookie Of The Year” isn’t set to drop until November, some lucky sneakerheads will have a shot at getting a pair early come October. Legendary Tokyo-based retailer atmos recently took to Instagram to announce that the homage shoes — which feature a quote from Michael Jordan’s ROY acceptance speech on the inside of the collar flaps and a fall-ready color combo of tan, black, and white — will be dropping more than a full month before their official street date at this year’s atmoscon. The fifth installment of the cultural event kicks off October 8th and features special merchandise, performances, and appearances — but most importantly the kicks themselves, which will be available starting the very first day of the convention at the atmos booth. If you’re lucky enough to be in Tokyo be sure to stop by atmoscon to check out all the goings-on and try to secure yourself a pair, and if you’re not, just get used to waiting: the shoe’s official full release date isn’t until November 17th.
