Is adidas Mimicking The Logo Styles Of Nike’s “Just Do It” Pack?

Is adidas Mimicking The Logo Styles Of Nike’s “Just Do It” Pack?

In the world of sneakers today, “less is more” is an adage that most brands choose to gleefully ignore when it comes to their branding. Nike has doused everything from the Air Max 1 to the Air Force 1 in bold logos and text graphic hits — and the Three Stripes is not far behind, recently unveiling a NMD R1 complete with extra branded embellishments. The shoe starts off simple, with a tonal black upper, black bricks, and white midsole making for a classic look. However, a sizable adidas logo hit is slapped directly across the midfoot’s three stripe logo, and a repeating logo print also appears across the black laces. The timing is somewhat funny, as it’s blatantly obvious that Nike has been putting a great effort into their experimental branding — but as logo-centric designs are of the hottest trends in footwear currently, you can’t really blame the Trefoil Brand for wanting to snag a piece of the action as well. If you’re looking for a little extra on your adidas NMDs, you can look for this new pair to drop in the US on adidas.com in the coming weeks, and also enjoy a set of official images below while you wait.
