Nike LeBron 16 “Oreo” Honors His Family And Hometown

Nike LeBron 16 “Oreo” Honors His Family And Hometown

The rollout of Nike’s LeBron 16 is in full swing. After debuting in a special “Harlem Fashion Row” edition for NYFW and then appearing in a clean “Fresh Bred” that boasted a striking lion graphic complete with glowing red eyes on the heel, the futuristic hoops sneaker has been unveiled in a makeup any long-time LeBron follower will be familiar with: a rough and rugged “Oreo.” The Battleknit upper is covered in the standard Oreo-style combination of black, white, and grey for a flecked look — but this Oreo pair is much more than just a classic colorway.

Each LeBron 16 aims to tell a story, and this pair showcases the King’s roots and support system as it nods to both his hometown of Akron and his three beloved children. The right shoe’s heel features a “330” hit — the Akron area code — while the left shoe boasts a “BBZ” embellishment, nodding to the King’s three kids: Bryce, Bronny, and Zhuri. A rich leather tongue with chenille embroidery hits adds a touch of premium flair, as does the leather heel cage and canvas heel strap. LeBron’s classic Dunkman logo also appears both on the outsole and the shoebox with a modern-day twist: he’s wearing the 16s instead of the Zoom Generation. Enjoy a first look at these new LeBron James kicks below, and keep it locked here for all breaking news on the LeBron 16.
