On the heels of the introductory LeBron 16 “Harlem Fashion Row” colorway, the Swoosh is set to release a “What The” Nike LeBron 16. Set to be one of the first iterations of the King’s newest signature shoe, “What The” has become a recurring aesthetic part of Nike Basketball lore. Having already adorned LeBron’s line multiple times in the past, we have seen this whimsical mismatched aesthetic also take shape on Kyrie Irving, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant’s collections of footwear. Its unbalanced design creates a look that will undoubtedly intrigue a new crop of consumers searching for a statement-making sneaker to add to their rotation. While its uppers feature different color bases – one multi-color, and one primarily black and white – it is this offering’s heels that tell the most enticing story. On the left, James’ signature “LJ” crown logo is emblazoned atop white with “SIXTEEN” underneath, while its right-footed counterpart dons a black shade with a regally-debossed lion head complete with a set of piercing golden eyes. Other details include premium touches on both of its throats as well as varying-colored outsole units. Grab a first look here and expect its limited release to go down September 15th.
