Nike Is Getting Creative With Logos For The Air Max 97

It’s been a logo-filled summer for the Air Max 97. After its inclusion in the heavily branded “We Love Nike” pack alongside other classic silhouettes like the Air Force 1 and Air Max Plus, the 97 is returning in another alternate branded iteration — and this time it’s slightly more toned down than past releases. The shoe’s upper opts for a tonal black look with black mesh underlays/black leather on the mudguard and bullet-train inspired stripes. Branding arrives via a repeating “Air” and swoosh logo print that appears on the lower midfoot where a single small embroidered swoosh would normally be placed. The white heel tab also offers an alternate look, as the standard Air Max hit normally seen on AM97s is replaced with an enlarged repeating text graphic. A white midsole offers contrast with the blacked-out upper, and the midfoot’s print reappears on the Air Max unit for a finishing touch of branding. Enjoy a first look at these new 97s below, and let us know if you’re still rocking with the all-over logo print trend or if you’re ready to move on to the next thing this fall.
