With New York Fashion Week fast approaching, Nike is pulling out all the stops when it comes to their collaborative releases. From Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White collection for Serena Williams to Skepta‘s new Air Max Deluxe, the Swoosh Brand’s Rolodex of partners is certainly being used heavily. However, it wouldn’t truly be New York Fashion Week without a real NY collab and the associate they’re calling on to provide just that is PSNY. Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow’s elegant yet streetwise brand has lent their touch to classic Nike and Jordan models in the past — the PSNY Air Jordan 12 being the most notable example — and now they’re set to drop a brand-new take on the classic Air Force 1 High in a trifecta of colors, one of which is this luxurious combo of sail and tan.
Their altered creation is a loving homage to a shoe that’s been tied in with New York street culture since its inception. Even though the silhouette is that of a standard Air Force 1 High, PSNY has taken elements from all three Air Force 1 models — low, mid, and high — for a striking deconstructed look with bold stitching accenting each panel of the upper. Notable design features include the raised lacing system, the semi-detached swoosh, the extra-thin heel collar, and the bold nylon heel tab on the back — a clever nod to the Air Force 1’s strap — that states “Property Of PSNY, Not For Resale.” These new Air Force 1s will drop September 5th with a retail price that’s yet to be determined, so enjoy a full set of official images below while you wait, and check out our Sneaker Release Dates page for all your Swoosh Brand drop updates.
