Nike Turbo-Charges The Pegasus With ZoomX Cushioning

Nike Turbo-Charges The Pegasus With ZoomX Cushioning

Nike’s Zoom Pegasus is the Beaverton brand’s longest-standing running model, receiving its 35th iteration earlier this year. The shoe has always been known for its smooth yet still responsive ride, and now the Swoosh has turbo-charged the Pegasus with their brand-new ZoomX cushioning. Inspired by Nike’s marathon shoes like the Zoom Vaporfly Elite and Zoom Vaporfly 4%, the Pegasus Turbo swaps out the standard Zoom Air cushioning for the aforementioned ZoomX tech, a new advancement in cushioning that offers both the lightest weight and highest energy return of any Nike Running system.

Arriving in a combination of “Turbo Grey” and “Hot Punch,” the shoe features a light grey translucent mesh upper with bold red accents on the lateral and medial swooshes, as well as a striking red racing stripe that travels from the tongue down to the throat and across the toebox. The shoe’s pointed heel provides an aerodynamic look, and Nike React foam in the midsole compliments the heel’s ZoomX tech for extra durability and stability. The Zoom Pegasus Turbo will release July 19th to NikePlus members through the Nike and Nike Run Club apps, before a full global release on Nike.com and at select retailers August 2nd.
