In honor of this year’s MLB All-Star game in the Nation’s Capital, Washington D.C., adidas has created a “Nations” Pack that celebrates the international influence D.C. has on the world as well as the melting pot that is Major League Baseball. Inspired by eighteen flags from around the globe, the Three Stripes will be releasing a three-piece set that includes an adiZero Afterburner cleat as well as an Icon 4 cleat and Icon Trainer. Elements from flags woven together that represent nations the likes of Brazil, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Mexico can be seen on both designs, while the left and right adidas tongue stamps alternate red and white on each specific shoe. Utilizing white as its base, it acts as a contrasting hue on the sole units, heels, and throats of both the trainer and the cleat. Sporting a matching aesthetic, each player’s cleat will boast a unique look that stems from the idea to signify the inclusivity of the baseball community and honor its international imprint.
Enjoy a detailed set of images for both offerings below, head to adidas.com now to grab your own pair, and look for your favorite Three Stripes baseball athletes the likes of Aaron Judge, Chris Sale, and Sean Doolittle to lace either one up during All Star Week at Nationals Park.
