After originally being rumored as a Skepta collaboration and after multiple wildly-colored retro variations were revealed, the date is almost here: Nike’s Air Max Deluxe is set to release next week. The late 90’s silhouette has become somewhat of a cult favorite among Air Max heads, as its combo of a flashy neoprene upper with a TPU heel cage and an Air Max 97-style cushioning unit was unlike anything else on the market at the time. Now, nearly two decades after its original release the Air Max Deluxe still looks as fashion-forwards as ever, and can find a spot in any Air Max-loving sneakerhead’s summer rotation.
The OG “Photo Blue” colorway will start the silhouette’s official roll-out, and it’s confirmed for a July 12th release date in Europe and Asia-but not the US yet. Expect the Air Max Deluxe to run ¥18,000 (around $162 USD) at overseas retailers like atmos, and keep it locked to our Sneaker Release Dates page for the most up-to-date information on a stateside release.
