Louis Vuitton Reveals Chunky “Zig Zag” Skate Shoe

Louis Vuitton Reveals Chunky “Zig Zag” Skate Shoe

Virgil Abloh‘s tenure at Louis Vuitton may have barely begun, but the Off-White front man is already making plenty of waves at the legendary Paris fashion house. After his mid-June inaugural runway show—that concluded in a heartfelt embrace with Kanye West—the designer is continuing his blend of streetwear and high fashion with a new “Zig Zag” silhouette that nods to chunky skate shoes, much like A$AP Rocky‘s collaborative Under Armour sneakers.

The shoe has been revealed in two different colorways: a metallic silver with a blue gradient and a slightly more toned-down black/blue. The silver pair offers an upper mostly composed of a shiny patent leather with the aforementioned blue gradient arriving on the striking lacing system, while the black/blue pair opts for a black mesh upper with bold blue details on the lacing system and a hit of blue patent leather on the toebox. Both shoes also feature bold rubberized LV branding on the tongue. There’s no solid release date for these interesting sneakers yet, but as the chunky shoe trend is in full swing, don’t be surprised if they release this fall as part of LV’s next collection under Abloh.
