Giannis Antetokounmpo Asks Twitter For Help In Designing His Nike Signature Shoe

The future of the NBA and basketball signature shoes is here, and his name is Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar was in the middle of a tough bidding war between Nike and adidas, with the latter sending a truck filled with BOOST to lure the athletic phenom to the German side of the footwear industry. In the end, Nike came out on top, with reports that his first signature shoe will be dropping sometime during the 2018-2019 NBA season. Throughout the Summer, Giannis has been keeping busy on social media, engaging his fans in a variety of ways, but his latest tweet might’ve shed some light on what’s to come with his first shoe with the Swoosh.

It appears that the signature shoe will possibly be named the Greek Freak 1, while his hashtag #StayFreaky could possibly play a role in an upcoming marketing campaign surrounding the much-anticipated launch of the new shoe. Additionally, he asked his Twitter followers what they’d like to see in his signature shoe, and thus far the responses have included: a Greek flag to represent his country, a lock-down strap, full-length Zoom Air, and his jersey number. What would you like to see in Giannis’ Nike Greek Freak 1?
