Is This The Craziest Nike Collaboration Spotted At Paris Fashion Week?

Paris Fashion Week is in full swing and footwear is the talk of the town as Virgil Abloh showed off his first Louis Vuitton sneakers, Comme des Garcons revealed a Nike Presto collaboration, and Sacai turned heads with a double-tongue Nike Blazer.The latest brand to join the party is 1017 ALYX 9SM—ALYX for short—headed up by Matthew M. Williams, one of the hottest young designers in the world. During his recent runway show, Williams debuted a brand new S19 MMW Technical Runner silhouette that features a combination of tech and sportswear influences.

Arriving in a tonal black colorway, the new silhouette boasts two large Velcro straps over the mesh upper and lacing system, shiny patent leather midfoot detailing, and a high-top leather collar. The chunky midsole and outsole are constructed of high-quality Vibram rubber and a small white branded hit appears on the medial side of the midsole. Pricing information is not yet available, but a release date is: these striking new sneakers are set to arrive July 12th as part of the MMW x Nike collaboration.
