The University of Michigan’s stately combination of navy blue and maize is arguably one of the most iconic color duos in all of college sports. Jordan Brand is the official uniform provider of the Wolverines, and they’re paying homage to the school with a special-edition “Michigan” Jordan 12 that’s packed full of school spirit. The shoe features a tonal navy upper, with bold maize accents arriving on the top two lace loops, midfoot plastic piece and heel tab. A large yellow Michigan M replaces the standard Jumpman logo on the right shoe, while a tonal blue midsole with maize accents finish the shoe’s look.

Although a special-edition “Michigan” PSNY Jordan 12 surfaced a few weeks ago, the two shoes are not the same, as this general release version does not offer the deep upper ridges and maize yellow sockliner/heel tab that the PSNY pair offered, instead opting for a stitched upper and navy accents. Look for the “Michigan” Jordan 12s to release on Nike.com June 23rd, and retail for $225 USD.
