The Air Jordan 3 “Katrina,” Originally Created For Charity, Will Release For The First Time

The Air Jordan 3 “Katrina,” Originally Created For Charity, Will Release For The First Time

The Air Jordan 3 “Katrina,” a shoe that first appeared as a rumored charity release after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005, is finally releasing in 2018, 13 years after its original unveiling. The “Katrina” Jordan 3  features a white tumbled leather upper with classic elephant print detailing on the toexbox and lateral/medial side of the heel.  A bright red adorns the rear midsole, tongue, and Jumpman logo, while the 3’s classic plastic heel tab features black Jumpman branding instead of the classic Nike Air logo hit that’s been appearing on recent Jordan 3 releases. A grey outsole ties the shoe’s simple and clean look together. Expect the “Katrina” Jordan 3s to release on Nike.com May 12th for $190, and check out how New Orleans-based retailer Sneaker Politics is teaming up with Jordan Brand to throw a block party for the shoe this weekend.
