First Look At Kanye West’s adidas Yeezy Basketball Shoe

Today we’re blessed with a first look at what Kanye West has created for this YEEZY basketball footwear line. Based on this image shared by Kanye West on Twitter, this high-top sneaker features a midsole silhouette similar to previous Yeezy Boost footwear without the signature ribbed texture, with what is likely BOOST cushioning embedded into the sole. The upper shares design qualities similar to the Yeezy Boost 350 v2, while the toe-cap is a direct nod to the Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner. This revelation comes on the heels of Kanye leaking out a ton of upcoming colorways of his popular Yeezy footwear line, but it’s refreshing to see that he’s extending his chops beyond casual lifestyle and into the world of sports. No word on whether or not these will come into production, but it’s clear that we’ve barely scratched the surface.
