Rasheed Wallace’s Nike Air Force 1 High Features “Ball Don’t Lie” Message

Rasheed Wallace’s Nike Air Force 1 High Features “Ball Don’t Lie” Message

Rasheed Wallace is known as one of the toughest big men in NBA history, and that grit was fully on display during the 2004 NBA Finals. During a physical Game 4 of that series, Wallace took a cheap elbow to the rib cage from Slava Medvedenko and converted that anger into passion and went on to dominate the rest of the game. Putting up 26 points and pulling down 13 rebounds – a team high in both – Wallace’s performance allowed Detroit to take control of the series against the Lakers.

In honor of that memorable performance, Nike has created the Air Force 1 High “Rude Awakening” to join the ranks of its prestigious “Art Of A Champion” pack. Equipped with Wallace’s favorite “Ball Don’t Lie” catchphrase on one of its ankle straps, this clean looks also sports a silhouette of the star toward its back heel. Other details include NBA Finals text on the insole as well as a “16” logo on the inner tongue – representative of the 16 games it takes to take home the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Grab an in-depth look at the Air Force 1 High “Rude Awakening” below and mark your calendars for its April 26th release date.
