While Kobe Bryant’s signature shoe line continues to be among the most popular around the league and among ballers worldwide, Nike is ready to push into the Retro phase of the Black Mamba’s storied sneaker career. Kobe Retros aren’t exactly a new concept, as Nike already launched the ground-breaking “Prelude” Collection leading up to the global release of the Kobe 9 Elite, while the “Fade To Black” Pack recalled Kobe’s entire timeline with Nike as he entered the final game of his career. On Instagram Stories, Kobe Bryant pretty much confirms the return of his past models in an eloquent manner that the five-time champ only knows how by stating “We’re always looking to build on things that we’ve done in the past to try to improve them”. In his hands is a pair of the Nike Zoom Kobe 1, his first sig shoe with Nike.
While any sort of release information hasn’t been disclosed, Mamba Day (April 13th) is just months away, so it’d be wise to circle that date on your calendar.
