Nike Basketball is tipping its preverbal cap to another classic Penny Hardaway advertisement from 1995. The Swoosh is rolling out a grade school exclusive Nike Little Posite One that mimics the classic “Hey Penny” poster. The foams feature a stark white shell with the same childish handwriting taken directly from the poster emblazoned on the silhouette. The shoe features quotes from the iconic Lil’ Penny puppet that was featured in the classic 1990’s commercials such as “Hey Penny, Penny! Show Me How to Play Ball!” and “I can do it!”. Sadly, this nostalgic pair is not releasing in men’s sizing, but you can pick up a pair for your kids and teach them a little history about this design when they hit select Nike Basketball retailers on December 2nd.
