As you’ve probably noticed if you’ve checked any sneaker blog in the last couple of months, Nike and Jordan Brand are going hard with the “Wheat” colorways this fall, bringing the Timberland inspired tan nubuck look back in full force. Along with the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 6, one of the other main events of the new Wheat offerings is the Air More Uptempo. Nike’s most-retroed hoops shoe of the year gets the familiar “Wheat” color treatment, featuring a Flax nubuck upper and gum sole with a white midsole in between. Worth noting, previous early images of the shoe have shown the shoe with a matching tan midsole, which appears to have either been totally scrapped or will only be featured on the Grade School sizing.
If you’re after the “Wheat” Air More Uptempo, keep in mind that they drop October 14th, along with flax colorways of the Air Max 90 and Air Force Max.
