Signing the most influential and culturally iconic individuals is a battle arena that Puma seems to be taking seriously. The German sportswear brand already has Rihanna, The Weeknd, and Instagram-famous Kylie Jenner in its roster, and it just announced that singer/actress/producer Selena Gomez is now part of the Puma family. Gomez will immediately be featured in ad campaigns for a new women’s sneaker called the Phenom.
Gomez boasts an incredible social media following; her 127 million Instagram followers and 57+ million Twitter followers should be put to use for promoting Puma, a brand that is more concerned with style for the younger generation. Just last week, Reebok announced that it has signed Ariana Grande to a one-year contract.
