Update: The Nike Lil Posite “Nerf” has been pushed up to release on September 1st.
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro continues to celebrate its 20th-anniversary celebration along side Eric Avar’s original Foamposite design with a number of new and old colorways alike, but none are as experimental as the coming kids’ only Nike Lil Posite Pro NERF set to arrive mid-September.
The pair pays tribute to Kevin Durant’s own love of Foamposites from growing up in the DMV area where the shoe was a cult-classic and remembers another strange yet popular KD release in the Nike KD 4 “NERF”. The shoe translates the NERF-aesthetic onto the Foamposite with a Racer Blue upper paired with a striking Black and Total Crimson design on the heel to contrast the Swoosh branding. We still don’t know if this pair will come with a NERF-themed basketball hoop like the KD 4 did, but we’ll have to wait and see. (All signs are pointing to the negative currently, though).
