Paul George’s Next Nike Release Recalls Fresno State

Nike Pg 1 Fresno State Release Date 2

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one who never saw Paul George play a game of college ball. You’re not even the only one who never even heard of him before he became a superstar in the NBA. PG’s rise from seemingly out of nowhere can be attributed to the fact that he attended a small, almost unknown school to play college ball: Fresno State. Looking back to those days when the possibility of having a signature shoe was probably not even a thought in his mind, this latest edition of the Nike PG 1 drops in a colorway representing the Fresno State Bulldogs. Presented in the team’s colors, the PG 1 features a combination of red suede and mesh with black accents and a white speckled midsole, completed with a special touch of marbled red and white rubber on the Zoom Air bag portion of the forefoot.

The “University Red” colorway paying homage to George’s college roots drops this Saturday, August 19th at Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com.
