Nike Is Releasing An Updated Air Zoom Oscillate On Shoe’s 20th Anniversary

Updated on August 14th, 2017: The Nike Air Zoom Oscillate LTR in University Red/Black is available now for $120 via Nike.

In 1997, Nike debuted a new signature tennis shoe for the most dominant man in the game at the time, Pete Sampras. As Sampras was a man that preferred to not switch things up once he found something he liked, he would go on to wear the Air Zoom Oscillate for most of the remainder of his career. In other words, the shoe is one of the most important models ever in the history of tennis, right up there with the likes of the adidas Stan Smith and Rod Laver, and the Nike Air Tech Challenge II.

Now Nike celebrates the 20th anniversary of Sampras’ favorite shoe with an all new updated edition of the Oscillate. The Air Zoom Oscillate LTR features a modernization of the original model, built with a neoprene inner bootie, seamless molded leather upper, and cored-out Zoom-cushioned sole unit. The shoe debuts in two original colorways worn by Sampras in white/navy and red/black. Tennis sneaker fans should expect the Air Zoom Oscillate XX at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com soon.
