Updated on July 14th, 2017: The Nike Dunk Low Flyknit “Chlorine Blue” is available now at Nike.
We’re all looking forward to the debut of the Air Jordan 1 Flyknit, but it looks like the Nike Dunk beat its cousin to the punch. The basketball shoe that elevated team colorways in the mid-80s returns in yet another new iteration as the Dunk Low gets completely rebuilt with Flyknit uppers, leather lining/tongues, and an updated outsole traction. The shoes don’t appear to be fit for basketball or skating, the Dunk’s primary and secondary purposes, but Dunk fans should be stoked for this new creation.
The full Flyknit upper keeps the original Dunk silhouette and even manages to re-create the ankle “flaps” that contributed to the shoe’s signature look. Three colorways of “Tiffany”, a clean white/black, and a Georgetown theme are currently available overseas and should release stateside on Nike.com this Fall.
