Updated on July 5th, 2017: The Air Jordan 9 Pinnacle “Baseball Glove” Pack releases in Asia on July 11th, 2017.

Update: Jordan Brand confirms that the brown colorway is very limited compared to the black colorway.

One of the more curious releases heading into the next few months is that premium leather Air Jordan 9 “Baseball Glove” inspired by Michael Jordan’s first retirement to pursue becoming a professional baseball player. Today we get a look at a brand new brown leather Jordan 9 Baseball Glove colorway featuring a head-scratching 35 PE number on the heel. After doing a bit of research, the look is an homage to the number that Mike wore during his brief stint with the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League in 1994. (You can check out a few glimpses of Mike wearing 35 below).

There’s also a rumor circulating that the Baseball Glove duo will release mystery box style with a limited run of 2,000 pairs meant to give you the rush of ripping open a pack of baseball cards to see what surprises wait inside. So if you have a particular colorway that you want, be prepared to purchase your pair with a chance of getting either the brown leather or Birmingham Barons-inspired Black/White treatment. What do you think of these two new premium Air Jordan 9 colorways? Stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.
