Updated on June 20th, 2017: The Air Jordan 2 Decon Collection releases on July 15th, 2017 for $160.
The Air Jordan 2 was always meant to be part performance basketball shoe, part luxury off-the-court staple. That was the prompt that Michael Jordan gave to Nike for his second signature model, as a young MJ was a huge fan of premium crafted Italian made leather footwear options in his everyday life. And even though the time that Mike spent rocking the AJ2s was limited due to injury, Jordan Brand has brought back the Air Jordan 2 in luxurious offerings thanks to collaborations with Don C and through the recently released Air Jordan 2 Decon. Today we get a look at three more tonal options for Fall 2017.
The Air Jordan 2 Decon Fall 2017 Collection consists of an off-white Sail suede featuring hints of that Jumpman favorite Vachetta Tan shade on the embossed ‘Wings’ tongue branding. The Jordan 2 was the first signature model to ditch any traces of Swoosh branding to truly let the Iguana-inspired leather panels shine, but here each model is deconstructed in suede for a standout lifestyle appearance. The inner lining and ankle collar padding is nonexistent here, so don’t expect to hoop in these. There’s also a Midnight Navy option featuring contrasting off-white on the midsole and outsole unit paired with a similar tan shade on the insole. An all-black colorway will also be available later in the year.
Stay tuned for official Release Dates for this Air Jordan 2 Decon trio, but expect each option to arrive at retailers later this Fall 2017 season.
