It’s awesome when a crossover shoe for sport to sport happens to seamlessly. adidas Skateboarding got one done perfectly as it pairs the adidas Top Ten Hi basketball shoe from 1979 with the Matchcourt High RX2, a tennis shoe that has since been re-purposed as a skate shoe. What makes this iteration so impressive is that adidas added the padded ankles to mimic the basketball shoe, while keeping the vulc sole and toe-cap for skate-friendly use. adidas Skateboarding will officially release the Matchcourt High RX2 in three colorways for$90 starting on July 1st.
