Nike Responds To President Trump’s Decision To Withdraw US From Paris Climate Accord

Today, President Donald Trump pulled the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord, joining Syria and Nicaragua as the only countries not in the agreement. Trump cited unfairness as the reason for withdrawing, but mentioned openness to renegotiate a new deal that he deemed less financially burdensome. This decision halts the United States’ contributions to the UN’s Green Climate Fund and ends carbon reduction targets set under President Barack Obama.

Nike responded to President Trump’s decision with an official statement, expressing disappointment in the decision while reiterating their stance on climate change being a serious global threat. Read the full statement below.
