Nike Cortez Compton Long Beach Release Info Special Shoe Boxes 1

The Nike Cortez pays homage to its streetwear roots in Los Angeles—before streetwear was even a word—with the special “Compton” and “Long Beach” editions of the iconic running shoe. No only does each version feature special call-outs to two of the cities that made them famous in the 1980s and ’90s, they also come in special special boxes commemorating the shoe’s 45th anniversary, complete with graphic tissue paper depicting vintage ads and info for the early Nike runner. Preview the shoe and shoe boxes here, and expect them to his select Nike Sportswear retailers like Renarts and Nike.com on June 1st.
