Nike PG1 “Georgetown” Releases This Friday

Nike Pg1 Glacier Grey Navy Georgetown Release Date 1

After a successful debut into the basketball sneaker market earlier this year for the Nike PG1, it’s unfortunate that Paul George and the Pacers couldn’t have lasted at least a little bit longer in the Playoffs this year so the world could see more PE colorways of the shoe. With the uncertainty surrounding where PG will be playing next season, we may have seen the last of the navy and gold PE’s—perhaps some gold and purple looks for the shoe will be on the way next season? We can at least be sure of what’s hitting retail next: this clean version in Glacier Grey and Midnight Navy. Although George has no affiliation with the team, these obviously call to mind the Georgetown Hoyas and their traditional grey and dark blue color scheme.

Hoyas fan or not, this is easily one of the best looks we’ve seen for the shoe yet, featuring a subtly speckled grey suede body with mesh toes and navy accents. Take a look at the outsole, and you’ll also find a pop of neon red for the PG logo and marbled into the grey Zoom bag area. Inspect these official images to help you decide if you need a pair, and then expect them to hit select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com this Friday, May 19th.
