Updated March 28th, 2017: The adidas Yeezy Calabasas Powerphase is scheduled to release on March 28th, 2017 for $120 via Yeezy Supply.
Kanye West and adidas are flipping the script for his next sneaker designs, with two models very un-Yeezy-like from what we’ve seen so far with the popular YEEZY Boost line. First there’s the Yeezy Runner which seems to take influence from old running shoe designs like the Osweego, and now there’s the Powerphase, a straight-up tennis shoe, made over with Kanye’s Calabasas branding. The vintage 1980s tennis sneaker (that’s older than most Kanye fans) is resurrected for an new hyped-up life, debuting in a simple white leather build with gold foil Calabasas branding on the quarter panels.
There’s still no confirmed release date for the Yeezy Calabasas Powerphase, but we do know that they will retail for $120—the most affordable Yeezy model yet. Get your best look yet at the shoe here, and stay tuned to Sneaker News for further release details.
