Gore-Tex Is Coming To The adidas NMD City Sock

Gore-Tex received the Costanza co-sign in the mid-90s as the Seinfeld character rocked that memorable oversized coat to humorous effect. Packer Shoes is showcasing their love for the legendary sitcom with a coming ASICS Gel Lyte V collaboration featuring a Costanzian theme throughout which is sure to be a runaway success with sneakerheads that double as fans of the show.

That won’t be the only Gore-Tex collaboration this year either, as the weatherized material is coming to the adidas NMD City Sock with a release date set for November 2017. Unfortunately, you won’t benefit from the collaboration this winter season, but today we get a couple of preview shots of two colorways in a simple high-contrast white and black. It will be interesting to see how the Primeknit woven upper will adapt to feature the coveted Gore-Tex technology, but we’ll have to wait and see. One pair even benefits from a black Boost midsole unit with matching bumpers. The medial side gets large Gore-Tex branding while teaser images showcase a slightly altered heel tab.
