Journey’s Cancels Order For Suspected Reselling, Then Mails A Catalog

To combat reselling, sneaker stores are taking matters into their own hands by implementing raffles, anti-bot procedures, purchase limits, and so on. Some retailers, however, are taking a more hands-on approach by singling out specific orders and cancelling them based on suspicion of reselling. A Sneaker News reader submitted this letter he received from Journey’s, which cancelled his order for the adidas NMD R1 “Tri-Color” because the customer was “flagged as related to, or affiliated with, an individual or company reseller.”

What Journey’s did next was absolute savagery; they actually sent the would-be customer a catalog through the mail a few days after the order was unfairly nixed. Read Journey’s letter to the customer below.
