A Detailed Preview of the Black & Gold adidas Harden Vol. 1

Adidas Harden Vol 1 Imma Be A Star Black Gold 4

Not a fan of the adidas Harden Vol. 1 because of the 50-50 split color block? Then perhaps this upcoming colorway of James Harden’s first signature shoe might sway your opinion of the silhouette a bit, with its clean all-black upper with metallic gold accents. You can never really do black and gold wrong on a sneaker, but this is arguably one of the best presentations of the color combo released in quite some time, featuring a gold-flecked knit upper capped off with a black suede toe and smoky clear black midsole and outsole.

Dubbed the “Imma Be A Star” colorway, the shoe takes inspiration from a note young James Harden wrote to his mother as a freshman in high school (“Could u wake me up at 7:00 and could u leave me a couple of dollars. P.S. Keep this paper. Imma be a star.“), which she has kept to this day. Get a detailed preview of the impressive colorway via photos we shot back when we interviewed the shoe’s designers, and stay tuned for official release information.

Update 11/21: The “Imma Be A Star” Harden Vol. 1 will release on November 23rd at adidas.com and Foot Locker.
