The two Bostonian staples have worked together countless times to give us conceptual, luxurious takes on some of your favorite New Balance retro silhouettes, and this weekend the duo will be paying homage to one of the oldest collegiate football rivalries as Harvard takes on Yale this Saturday, November 19th. The Concepts x New Balance “Weekend Rivalry” Pack will coincide with the historic matchup by introducing premium takes on the New Balance 998 and the New Balance 990 in honor of the two Ivy League schools.

The New Balance 998 Varsity Weekend features a Harvard-inspired aesthetic as the ‘Made in the USA’ construction focuses on a deep burgundy suede upper. Branded insoles tell the story of vintage Massachusetts bandana manufacturing and dyeing plants that would turn this particular shade after wear and sweat. A clean white midsole is accompanied by grey for a classic finish. You can grab this pair for $180.

The New Balance 990 Varsity Weekend takes a different approach for the unofficial Yale inspiration, as a pigskin suede drapes the upper in a soft grey and pairs rather well with an updated white sports mesh. 3M reflective detailing lands on the heel and side panels as well while navy accents add contrasting elements throughout. The NB 990 by Concepts will be available for $160.
