The Texas Longhorns Get A Wild Nike KD 9 PE

When you think of the Texas Longhorns, you most likely associate that school’s athletic teams with its unique shade of burnt orange paired with a contrasting white. It’s a classic if not solely individual uniform, but the latest Nike KD 9 Texas Longhorns PE skips out on that tradition in honor of light blue, yellow, and red accents with a bolstered terrycloth Swoosh branding on the side panels.

Kevin Durant spent only a year at UT, but he became the first ever freshman to win the Naismith College Player of the Year Award and his alma mater has been receiving his signature Nike models ever since. The Nike KD 9 Texas Longhorns also features unique text on the inner tongue lining, but it hasn’t been revealed what it says, or what this strange combination of colors is inspired by just yet. There’s been a slight deviation from the norm in past Texas installments like the Nike KD 6 Texas which added a glow-in-the-dark electric green element. What do you think of this experimental take on the latest Texas homage for the KD 9? Check out more photos below and stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.
