Nike Raised 1 2 Million In 2015 Doernbecher Sales

Nike and Jordan Brand unveiled their latest Doernbecher Freestyle Collection this past Friday at the Portland Art Museum where a total of $1.2 million was raised for the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital through limited edition auctions and private donations. A ceremonial check was also introduced by Nike for $1.6 million, the total raised from all Doernbecher related apparel and footwear released last year in a limited run.

The Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Collection has now been running for a total of 13 years and has raised a total of over $16 million according to a report from the Portland Business Journal. The Doernbecher program has paired sick and rehabilitating patients at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital with different Nike designers to have kids’ dreams of their ideal footwear creations come to fruition. This year will see the Air Jordan 7 Doernbecher top the list as the must-have in the long lineage of Doernbecher Jordans. The other 2016 Doernbecher shoes are the Kyrie 2, Air Max Zero, and the Huarache Utility all slated to release on December 17th in limited quantities.
