Earlier this month we took a look at the latest New Balance collaboration with Horween Leather for an ultra premium set of the 998 and 1300 in the tannery’s world renowned leather. Now we see Reebok has also utilized the expertise of Horween for their own new set of the Classic Leather, also decked out in premium quality leather. While it’s a touch choice between the two brands on who has the best looking Horween sneakers this month, there’s one big difference that may affect which you’d actually buy: the price.
Clocking in at $340, the New Balance models definitely aren’t for everybody, whereas the Reebok Classic Leather Lux in the black or brown oiled leather uppers with brogue detailing will only set you back $170—literally half the price of each pair of the New Balances. Just a little food for thought if you’re in the market for some Horween leather sneakers.
