Kevin Durant’s Asia tour with Nike continued on Day 4 with a special event in Hong Kong, where fans presented KD with their own unique artistic creations on the KD 9 silhouette. While attendees were able to paint up their own colorways on mini KD 9 replica sculptures, the highlight was certainly the full-sized abstract sculpture of the shoe created by Annabelle Ho, a student at Hong Kong’s Polytechnic University Institute of Textiles and Clothing. The bold look for the KD 9 featuring a multi-textured upper with everything from golden rope to studs incorporated into its design was inspired by KD’s birth year, which happened to be the Year of the Dragon. A second KD 9 art piece by Aiden Kwong uses balloons to represent dreams and hopes without boundaries. See a photo recap of the event here.
