Nike Brings Back The Meadow, An Early 80’s Tennis Shoe

Nike Brings Back The Meadow, An Early 80’s Tennis Shoe

Nike Tennis Meadow Retro 2016 White Gorge Green 01

Nike’s tennis imprint has brought back some of its most iconic silhouettes in the past half-decade, from The Air Tech Challenge II, Air Trainer 1s, and even the lifestyle intended Nike Tennis Classic. But how many of you remember the simplistic style of the Nike Meadow? The early 80s tennis offering kept things as spare as possible in a time when Nike was about to turn a corner and offer up bold visible air technology to the masses. This White/Gorge Green colorway harkens back to those pre-Tinker dominant days with a simple low top utilizing a classic combination of mesh, leather, and suede. Once a go-to for on-court performance, this model will probably serve as an icon to the norm-core movement more than anything else today. Check out a better view below and we’ll keep you updated when this obscure Nike Tennis offering lands at stateside retailers late this Spring 2016 season.
