They’re so popular that terrorists in West London used the term “Black Huaraches” as well as “creps” (or sneakers) as code-speak for firearms in a failed attempt to coordinate an attack against police and military. Sneaker trades and banter are a normal part of Twitter conversation, so these would-be assailants assumed they could mask their communication under the ruse of everyday shoe talk.
