Sneaker reselling has become hot topic of mainstream discussion despite the practice being around for ages. The latest bit of exposure in the now above-ground world of flipping kicks comes at the hands of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and feature correspondent Hasan Minhaj’s, who dove head first into the genre with some cash and humor in his pocket. To get some genuine, ground-level responses, he took to Sneaker Con to talk prices while educating himself on some of the better investments in the game, and his search for a pair of “72-10” Jordans led to the teenage sneaker reseller known as Benjamin Kickz, a youngster who recently gained notoriety for providing celebrities such as DJ Khaled with early pairs. Not bad considering it was a crash course on this billion dollar industry, but the truth is, slanging kicks ain’t the same anymore (and The Daily Show knows that feeling all to well).
