Supreme NYC Employee Accidentally Leaked Upcoming Nike Collaboration

Supreme NYC Employee Accidentally Leaked Upcoming Nike Collaboration

Supreme Nike 2016

Anytime NYC-based Supreme connects with Beaverton-based Nike, we’re in for something truly magical. There’s no need to remind you of the long-lasting history between the skateshop and Nike, so let’s get straight to the meaty stuff. We spoke with Rob Romano, who stopped by the Supreme store today (in SoHo, NYC) and noticed a delivery of Nike footwear that was packaged in red slide-out boxes – the same ones used for the premium Stussy x Nike Air Max 95 drops not long ago. In the box was either an Air Jordan 1 or a Dunk High with a red upper, a white toe-box, a white Swoosh, and a white heel. Another juicy detail is that the large boxes had a date of January 2nd written on it, which makes sense for Nike releases given that the date is a Saturday, but unusual for Supreme (the store typically releases new items on Thursday). Supreme typically unveils upcoming product on the week of the release, so keep your eyes peeled for an official announcement as well as a release date.

Update: While the mysterious delivery may very well be a collaboration, there are a few things to keep in mind. The new red Nike box is for Sportswear product, which Supreme does not carry. In addition, Supreme’s current FW15 season is officially over, and new product is not expected until the SS16 collection is unveiled in a few weeks.
