adidas has been taking the classic shell-toe to new heights throughout 2015. We’re talking about the adidas Superstar, a model that’s been celebrating its 30th anniversary with a number of awesome capsules, collaborations, and new-aged transformations. Occasionally the three stripes have brought back the adidas Pro Model too, a shoe that also utilizes the shell-toe construction in high-top form. Fall 2015 brings a brand new construction, as the seasonal update brings a winterized version retooled to withstand the harsh conditions of the outdoors. Known as the adidas Pro Model GTX, a metal lacing system imitates workboots while a Gore-Tex lining allows for a waterproof finish. Available in three colorways, the new Pro Model GTX will debut at adidas retail spots on November 28th. More photos below.
