1984 ushered in a society obsessed with the future. Apple definitely profited off of the Orwellian topic with their legendary ad campaign and even adidas got in on the action with one of the first smart shoes ever in the adidas Micropacer. The shoe featured a computer chip to help track your pace and more but was rather short-lived until the three stripes tried to profit on the nostalgia for the silhouette’s 30th anniversary last year with a number of collaborations and OG inspirations. Today we get a surprise as the Micropacer is back with a new mesh upper complete with a forrest green base perfect for the autumn months. The Micropacer is definitely an odd shoe to try and rework as a lifestyle selection, but the EQT-esque color options here work in a surprising way. This pair is available right now overseas and we’ll update you if this runner hits stateside retailers anytime soon. More photos below.
